Our Director

 

Dr. Cooke has been the Executive Director of Egenolf ECC since 1993. She has led the program to nationally recognized excellence and continues to be a strong advocate for children and families. Starting her career as a Kindergarten Teacher, she has earned The Aletha Wright Award for Excellence in Early Care and Education, the ACNJ Community Partners Award, and was named an "Educational Innovator" by Caucus: New Jersey.

Our Staff

 

Egenolf Early Childhood center is pleased to present a nationally recognized staff of excellence. The preschool classrooms present a state certified, bachelor degreed teacher working with a Child Development Associate Assistant. Family Workers provide important information for families and maintain close relationships with families while their children are in the program. Our Egenolf Program Director, Dr. Lorraine Cooke, is experienced in preschool teaching and manages the day to day classroom operations. The Executive Director is a former early childhood teacher and holds a doctorate in the Management of programs for Children and Youth. Several staff have been spotlighted in national publications for excellence in the field of early childhood education.

 

 

 

Our Facility

 

Egenolf Early Childhood Center is located at 725 Newark Avenue, in the city of Elizabeth, New Jersey. A beautiful modern and safe building welcomes approximately 150 children each and every day. The Egenolf facility has administrative offices, 10 classrooms , kitchen facilities, large indoor gathering areas as well as an outdoor playground.
